Current Transformers

Current transformers are used to transform high currents to standardized values for control equipment as relays and meters.

The primary winding in a current transformer is incorporated in the line and carries the current flowing in the network. The magnitude of the secondary current is dependent of the ratio of the transformer.

Gas insulated Current Tranformer TG

Cores and secondary windings are located inside the head of the transformer. The high voltage insulation is fully obtained with SF6 gas instead of paper and oil.
Oil insulated Current Transformer IMB

IMB oil-minimum current transformers are based on a tank type (hairpin) design with over 60 years of ABB experience. It is the most sold current transformer worldwide.
Magneto-Optic Current Transducer MOCT

The MOCT system satisfies current sensoring needs for revenue metering or protective relaying in a wide variety of applications.
